Common questions

Does my flight data sync between devices?

Yes. When you are signed in to iCloud, Fili syncs your log across your devices through Apple's CloudKit private database. Your data lives in your own iCloud account; the developer cannot see it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your data stays on the device.

My data is not appearing on my other device.

Confirm both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account and have iCloud enabled, and that they have network access. Sync runs in the background and may take a few moments after a change.

What altimeter and simulation files can I import?

Fili imports CSV telemetry from many altimeters as well as OpenRocket and RockSim simulation files. If a file will not import, you can (with the optional import-diagnostics setting enabled) send an anonymized diagnostic and, only with separate per-file consent, upload the raw sample file for quarantine review so we can add support for it.

How do I delete my data?

You can delete individual flights, or all user-created app data, from Fili's Settings screen. App-health reports are cleared separately from the App Health screen. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device; data held in iCloud can be managed through your device's iCloud settings.

Purchases and access

What is the free month, and when does it start?

Monthly and Annual carry a one-month free introductory offer. The App Store decides whether your Apple Account is eligible, shows you that before you confirm, and starts the month only once you have confirmed. Fili keeps no trial clock of its own — it reads your current entitlement from the App Store and nothing else. Lifetime is a separate one-time purchase and has no trial.

What happens when my trial or subscription ends?

Fili stops creating: no new flights, plans or rockets, no edits to existing ones, no telemetry or simulation imports, no weather fetches or analysis runs. Everything you already recorded stays fully available — you can open and read it, it keeps syncing between your devices, you can delete any of it, and you can export your flight log as CSV. Starting a subscription or buying Lifetime resumes the rest.

How do I cancel?

In App Store settings on your device, not in Fili. Apple owns eligibility, renewal, cancellation and refunds; Fili cannot start, stop or refund a subscription on your behalf. A free trial becomes a paid subscription at the displayed price unless you cancel before it renews.

I bought Lifetime and I still have a subscription.

Buying Lifetime does not cancel a subscription — they are separate purchases, and only the App Store can end the subscription. Open Manage Subscription from Fili's purchase screen to turn off renewal, or you will be billed for both. Lifetime access itself does not expire.

How do I restore a purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple Account and use Restore Purchases on Fili's purchase screen. Subscriptions and Lifetime both restore this way.

Does my data still sync if I am not subscribed?

Yes. Sync is not part of the purchase. Your records live in your own private CloudKit database and keep syncing across your devices whether or not a purchase is active.
